Scope of Practice
At Harmony Massage and Bodywork, we prioritize a trusting relationship with our clients, ensuring the best fit for your wellness needs while respecting the boundaries of our practice.
At our facility, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our clients by clearly stating that we do not offer medical treatment. We reserve the right to refuse service if we believe that your needs extend beyond our scope of practice. In some cases, we may recommend that you consult with a licensed healthcare professional for a thorough physical evaluation or other assessments.
To ensure a comprehensive understanding of your health, it is mandatory to complete the confidential health questionnaire(s) provided before your first appointment. Please note that we do not take responsibility for any pre-existing or undiagnosed conditions, nor for any issues that may be exacerbated by the services we provide. Your health is our concern, and we want to ensure that you receive the appropriate care.

Creating a Respectful Environment
We prioritize behavior rules and ethical practices to ensure a safe, calm, and respectful atmosphere for everyone at our facility, fostering a positive experience for all.
As a massage client, to be respectful towards your therapist, you should: arrive on time, maintain good personal hygiene, communicate your needs clearly, respect their professional boundaries by avoiding inappropriate conversations, undress privately, and always be covered with a sheet during the massage, inform them of any medical conditions or areas of concern, and avoid coming in under the influence of alcohol or drugs; essentially treating the session as a professional healthcare appointment.
Failure to adhere to the established boundaries and rules of behavior will result in the immediate termination of the session and our relationship with the client.
Key points to remember:
Privacy and Draping: Undress only when the therapist leaves the room and ensure you are appropriately draped with a sheet throughout the session.
Communication: Speak up if you need adjustments to pressure, temperature, or areas of focus.
Medical Disclosure: Inform your therapist about any injuries, medical conditions, or areas of concern before the massage.
Punctuality: Arrive on time for your appointment.
Hygiene: Shower before your session to maintain good personal hygiene.
Professional Boundaries: Avoid making personal or overly intimate conversations with your therapist.
Respectful Behavior: Avoid being disruptive or making inappropriate comments. Avoid touching your therapist without consent. Never touch your therapist inappropriately.
Safe On My Table: Harmony Massage and Bodywork is a safe space for all. We have a zero tolerance discrimination policy. Should you encounter another client while visiting our office we ask you to treat them with the same respect you deserve.
You will still be billed for the full amount of the service.


Cancellation and No-Show Policy
I understand that I must provide at least 24 hours' notice for any appointment changes or cancellation requests, including changes to session length. Changes or cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment may incur a late cancellation fee of 50% of the service fee. Notice must be provided via call, text, or voicemail to 386-488-2122. Communications through Facebook Messenger, email, or other platforms may not be seen in time and WILL NOT be considered proper notice.
I acknowledge that failure to notify the business before the appointment time (No Show) will result in a charge of 100% of the service fee. This charge will either be processed to the payment method on file or billed to me and must be paid before another appointment will be accepted. If I have used a third-party voucher for the service (such as Groupon), it will be redeemed to cover this cost. No Shows may result in the requirement of prepayment for future appointments or termination of the client relationship.
Late Arrival Policy
Arrival & Late Policy:
Please arrive 5 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork and intake questions.
If you're running late, call us as soon as possible so we can try to accommodate you.
Appointments are reserved specifically for each client, so late arrivals may result in a shorter session to avoid delaying the next client. Full service fees still apply.
If you are 15+ minutes late, you may need to reschedule, which will be treated as a late cancellation with applicable fees.
We strive to be on time, and if we're ever late, we’ll add time to your session or adjust the service charge accordingly.
Illness Policy
[Please keep in mind your therapist has a spouse that is immunocompromised and on immune suppressing drugs due to a kidney transplant, therefore, cannot be exposed to anything even potentially contagious]
If you are feeling unwell, have a fever, flu-like symptoms, a sore throat, Covid-19 symptoms, or have been exposed to someone with a contagious illness, please reschedule your appointment to a time when you are feeling better. There will be no late cancellation for illness-related cancellations, but please provide as much notice as possible or have someone notify the therapist on your behalf if you are unable to do so.
Unless you are hospitalized or other special circumstances that would prevent you from giving notice, No Show fees will still be collected if no notice is given before the appointment time.
Massage Gun Liability Waiver
I, the client, understand that if I request or consent to the use of a massage gun during my session at Harmony Massage & Bodywork, I do so at my own risk.
I acknowledge that:
The massage gun may cause discomfort, bruising, soreness, or aggravate known or unknown conditions.
I have disclosed any relevant medical conditions and understand this therapy is not a substitute for medical care.
I assume all risks associated with its use and release Harmony Massage & Bodywork and its owner from any liability for injuries, pain, or worsened conditions.
I may decline its use at any time.
These terms are posted publicly, available and applicable to everyone. By booking an appointment you agree to accept these terms.
Refund Policy
At Harmony Massage & Bodywork, all sales are final, and we do not offer refunds for services rendered or prepaid appointments. Please be mindful when booking your appointment or entering into service agreements.
However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. Refunds or credits may be considered on a case-by-case basis in the following situations:
A double charge or billing error occurs.
The therapist is unable to provide the service due to an emergency or unforeseen closure.
If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to us for assistance. Customer service is important to us and we are always willing to help.

Hot Stone Massage Liability Waiver
I, the client, understand that if I request or consent to a hot stone massage at Harmony Massage & Bodywork, I do so at my own risk.
I acknowledge that:
Hot stones are heated and applied to the skin, which may cause redness, burns, irritation, or discomfort.
I have disclosed any medical conditions, skin sensitivities, or circulatory issues that may be affected by heat therapy.
I assume all risks associated with this service and release Harmony Massage & Bodywork and its owner from any liability for injuries, burns, pain, or aggravated conditions.
I may request temperature adjustments or discontinue the service at any time.

Seabreeze Blvd is a one way street. We’re just past the tall Morgan and Morgan building, on the left-hand side (same side as Morgan and Morgan). Straight across the street from Wells Fargo. It’s a 1 story building with red awnings.

For security, the doors are locked. I will meet you at the door to let you in at your appointment time. You may arrive 5-10 minutes early. At times, I may be running behind with the previous client, but if you hang tight, I will greet you shortly. You may also ring the Ring doorbell in case I haven’t noticed you.

Parking is available street side in the front and is generally easy to get into.
Alternatively, there’s a small parking lot located at the back of the building, accessible via N Oleander Avenue and turn in right along the gray building with the Smoke Shop sign to enter the parking lot and our door is to the far side closest to Morgan and Morgan. Let me know if I need to meet you at the back door
